Week of May 23, 2022
Here is what to expect for the week ahead and an AuraArt print to illustrate the energies above and within us. Enjoy!
This week will (fingers-crossed) feel like a detailed self-care ritual that you whip out after a long day when you really want to feel like a princess and wake up feeling uber refreshed. Still in recovery mode from the brutal eclipse that took place a little over a week ago? Don’t worry this will be the final week of the eclipse season before the Moon becomes new on Monday, May 30.
As the Moon wanes, it loses its strength, so we might feel more tired or low on energy, especially because Mercury is retrograding in slow-moving Taurus (cue Eeyore’s “oh bother.”) Life has been pretty intense for many folks lately, so I decided to offer something new and different! If you need to get unstuck, a sprinkle of inspiration, or to get your groove back after what-the-f-was-that eclipse, I have just the thing for you! Enter: Tune Up sessions! You can read more about them and book yours here!
Monday is feeling a little sleepy with Mercury retrograding back into Taurus last night and the Moon in Pisces, but the nice sextile between the Gemini Sun and Jupiter in Aries gives us the metaphorical sugar rush we all need to stay alive. Pass the Sour Patch Kids. It might feel like the dream world is real life as Mars sits on the last degree of Pisces, the final degree of the zodiac before birthing a new cycle as it enters Aries on Tuesday.
The Moon will stay in Pisces for a good part of the day on Tuesday, only shifting to Aries at around 5:30 EST. Most of Tuesday will be supportive of creative and spiritual efforts, but #adulting might take a backseat to more sensitive matters of the heart. Pour yourself a big cup of hot cacao to soothe your soul without the jitters this morning. You’ll be ready to get your feet on the ground later in the evening when the planet of drive and action moves home to Aries. It would be a fun night to break up the week with a drink with friends or a dinner out as the Moon curls up to Jupiter and favors the Gemini Sun.
Wednesday is a no-nonsense day built for working on your goals and completing hard tasks. Through is the only way past some hard situations and the trine between retrograde Mercury and Pluto will remind you of anything you’ve been avoiding. Take a mental trek back to April 28 and see what might have come to light around that time. There’s a good chance you’re going to be working through it again right now. Once and for all, step up to the plate and take responsibility for the things you need to tend to. The Aries Moon says, buck up, bite a Slim Jim, and growl at your fears because they ain’t nothin’ you can’t handle.
The pressure is on when it comes to love and money on Thursday as Venus gets hit from every angle. The Moon meets Venus in Aries, and the Moon and Venus also make a hard angle to Pluto. This could really test your finances if you’ve been running on fumes lately. If you’re dealing with any kind of love scandal or you’ve been secretly craving something you’re not getting, it will be painfully obvious what you want. It might feel like you’re salivating at the mouth at times and foaming mad at others, but let this be a time where you can learn a lot about what you want in love and your role in relationships as a whole.
Friday will offer more ease under the Taurus Moon. Anytime a Taurus or Libra Moon falls on a Friday, we know it’s going to be a nice day since Friday’s run on the frequency of Venus’ vibrations. If you can, take the day off and use it as a rare treat to do all of your favorite things. Get your favorite meal, go to a place that makes you feel at ease, indulge a little bit, and spoil yourself as if you’re a new lover you want to impress. The Moon is completely uninhibited Friday, a truly rare occasion where we can experience lunar Taurus energy without the influence of much else. Spend some time in nature and do what you love without an apology. Pick a hill and die on it, Taurus would.
If you didn’t get enough Taurus energy Friday, you’ll get a double dose on Saturday under the Taurus Moon that welcomes Venus home to Taurus, too. Prepare for some scheduling upsets if you’re actually doing things Saturday morning, thanks to Uranus and the last degree of Aries Venus throwing a fit. However, if you cancel your early plans, the day will be smooth as butter after 10:46am EST. Relish in the sweet vibes the rest of the day has to offer. If you want to throw a decadent dinner party or just treat yourself to your favorite dinner out, Saturday is the day!
If you’re out late (and I mean after 2am crowd) be careful as Mars and Jupiter come together in Aries. This smells like a bar brawl or an impulsive decision that could harm you or others. Go home early, have sex, and then make pizza rolls instead.
The nice Taurus Moon vibes will float into Sunday morning, so if you’re on the East Coast it will be a fantastic landscape for pancakes in jammies on the couch. If you’re on the West Coast or somewhere in between and you’re not an early riser, give yourself permission to sleep in and have few expectations. The Moon will move into Gemini around 1:30 EST and from there it meets Jupiter and Mars in Aries making it the perfect afternoon for hitting the park, a pickup basketball game, or an outdoor social event. Get out and connect with your community and find new things to love about the place you live.
The Moon will become new first thing in the morning on Monday! Since the last New Moon was an eclipse, this one is more conducive for making wishes. However, Mercury is still retrograde, so be careful about the manifestations and intentions you write because if you word something incorrectly, you might get exactly what you wished for and it might not be what you intended.
